I look forward to listening to this show every week. I too grew up evangelical but have been deconstructing and The New Evangelicals has been such a welcoming space for that. Tim and April are great at discussing current affairs in an honest but informed way. I love hearing their thoughts and so appreciate all the effort they go to to research the topic each week. Thank you both for all that you do, you are appreciated!

I really like the overall idea of this pod and enjoy it in concept. Often I find I wish the hosts could focus and shorten the episodes. Long time listener means I know the leanings and we can have fewer rants and more intention allowing for the great content I tune in for. I cannot listen live so I do find the live content to be part of the length issue. I get the need to give feedback to the super chats but I’m leaning towards not listening as much because it gets long for the reasons mentioned. Overall I’m a huge fan.

I agree-you two have great chemistry. As someone who lives in deep red Oklahoma who is now a straight blue voter and vehemently against Christian Nationalism, listening to your content gives me a safe space to know that there are others looking for a better path forward in their faith, so I feel like I’m not going crazy.

I love this show so very much! After deconstructing the faith I was handed as a child, this show is a breath of fresh air. Like many people, I have had to limit my news exposure for sanity’s sake - but this show helps me know what is going on and encourages me to know that I am not alone in the way I think and view the insanity that is America in 2025. Thank you Tim and April! I appreciate your hard work so very much.

The Tim and April Show is a masterclass in missing the point. Their latest episode wrings its hands over “MAGA taking rights away from LGBTQ individuals” while completely ignoring the much bigger forces steering our politics. They’ve become so marinated in progressive talking points that they can’t see beyond their own echo chamber. Instead of grappling with the real power structures—like Israeli influence and theocratic ideas baked into the Torah—they’re stuck playing culture war whack-a-mole, fighting the wrong enemies. It’s virtue-signaling at its most predictable.
