Absolutely loving listening to the hosts discuss The Running Grave after finishing it!! Their discussions have truly enriched my reading experience. I have been enjoying the commentary so much that I am rereading The Ink Black Heart and listening to those episodes of the podcast concurrently. SO good!! Thank you!!

This series has been my audio book fixation/comfort listen/always playing in the background for 2 years. It has been so much fun to listen to this pod from the beginning. I’m glad also to have found it before The Hallmarked Man comes out so I can be a part of the predictions and anticipation. I delight in listening to the previous book predictions and how good they often are. Thanks for the dedication to analysis and the obsession with our fav detectives. It is appreciated!

I absolutely go into withdrawals in between episodes! These women are my driving/household chore/walking buddies, and I absolutely talk back 🤪. Their reactions are all of us. They are so insightful and I for one, can’t wait for more!

            “Dangerous to Women & Girls”?
I’m responding to S5 E13 where JK Rowling’s political beliefs are discussed in detail. I respect that the hosts have the right to speak about the hot button JK Rowling issues… I personally love the Strike series but struggle with her politics because I don’t believe the same things she does.
That said, the Harry Potter cast members also have the right to feel differently than the hosts of TSEF. We all come with different perspectives.
I have a close family member that is trans, and I would just caution the hosts to please take care when making umbrella statements of “dangerous to women & girls” because it paints trans people as “malicious” when they (like many people in the world) are just minding their own business, trying to live their one life as authentically as possible.
Trans people have relationships, friendships, jobs and contribute to society just like anyone (and would like to exist without this type of judgement). I won’t stop listening necessarily because I enjoy the book discussions, but I hope the hosts are more mindful of this language going forward.
