I love this podcast. It features a good range of sewing and fiber arts topics, with a sprinkling of homesteading and community/family life updates. The host is friendly and down to earth. And I greatly appreciate the show’s lack of giddiness and time-wasting that sometimes creep into other podcasts in this genre.

Several months back I put “sewing” in a search engine for podcasts. I tried a dozen or so such podcasts and Straight Stitch is my favorite of all of them. The pace is great and knowledge of the creator is very apparent. She has introduced me to a wide variety of topics.

Janet’s podcast is a treat for every type of sewist. Whether you quilt, sew garments or handcrafts, this gal has you covered. Her info is professional and practical. So thankful I found it!

I started listening in Feb 2025 but started at the first episode from 2022 and I am at episode 39. Janet seems to know everything! I don’t think there’s anything she could not figure out how to do! Every episode she amazes me with what all she can accomplish in a week. I love Montana and enjoy hearing her talk about her life there. Her voice is soothing and pleasant to listen to and I am hoping to learn some things through osmosis!!

This is definitely a sewing podcast worthy of your time!!!!
