I have followed Chip & Joanna since Fixer Upper first started. They are so real and relatable. I’ve read the Magnolia Story & listened to it on audio which I highly recommend because it’s narrated by Chip & Jo. This podcast is so relatable & inspiring. We bury so much and it’s so freeing to hear someone talk about similar experiences and you say ‘me too’!!! I loved hearing Jo’s mom’s story. I can’t wait for more podcasts! I have t bought the new book yet, but I will! The podcasts with Chip crack me up. I love how he encourages Joanna and makes her laugh. You two would be fun to sit & chat with!

Such honest vulnerability. Those of us from mixed families bore witness to our mothers struggle within American culture as 1st generation minorities - juxtaposed today by our daughters highlighting their proud roots. Somehow as the gatekeepers we’ve shouldered a strange mommy in the middle pain. This was such a beautiful lens into the full circle of the private stories we haven’t always told. Thank you Joanna and family.

Jo and Chip are such a good pair on Fixer Upper, but he is such a distraction on this podcast. Not only does he interrupt - he’s dismissive and comes off as incredibly shallow. He seems unempathetic to Jo’s story and seems unable to understand what she is trying to convey. I LOVE THE BOOK and have purchased it as gifts for others. I love Jo’s voice and story and approach - we just need more of that in the podcast and less of Chip.

Loved the episode w her sisters. I always wondered what it must’ve been like for her and her family growing up somewhere so white. It’s a relatable story to my own and it made me tear up. Their resilience and love for each other is so beautiful.
