This podcast is very well presented. The host keeps to the known facts without needless speculation. I like the soft smooth voice and the way he lets the facts come out in order. Not confusing—- especially with all the victims involved. The host is mindful of the feelings of the families of the victims. He even mentioned the documentary “ Convergence “ that I was able to get on my TV. It gives a visual experience that the podcast can not give. That was extra nice.
I highly recommend this podcast to my friends. AND there are no loud obnoxious ads popping up in your ears.

The investigative journalism, and the effort the team goes to to honor the victims, is unmatched in this podcast. No stone is left unturned, and the evidence uncovered is jaw-dropping. I hope their hard work helps to finally bring answers and justice for the victims and their families.

I’ve been listening to True Crime podcasts forever. If you want to know why, it’s because serial killers are the bane of our American culture .
But back to the point. This is an exceptional podcast. The host is no nonsense devoted to the cases.
Clear details, great repeated time line progressions so we can put the facts into perspective. I can’t say enough about this one.
Just one interesting note: at one point the host visits a crime scene. He’s a little overwhelmed and in self analysis can’t put his finger on why he’s involved with this. Just want to tell him, it’s because you’re ANGRY about this stuff! And we who listen are furious too. Bane of our American life.

Used to love this podcast, but it’s lost its focus. Somewhere along the way it began diving down one rabbit hole after the next, creating many side stories rather than focusing on the original subject matter: The Snake River Killer. There is now much more theory and speculation than actual investigation, and the theories run the gamut between reasonable and completely out there, with very little to back them up. Ex: Lance Voss is no doubt a serial killer, but the host and other contributors seem to want him to be not just “The Snake River Killer,” but also The Zodiac Killer, The Santa Rose Hitchhiker Killer, and a number of other as-of-yet-unidentified US serial killers. The content no longer feels engaging; it feels like filler. Additionally, each episode has been ending on a “cliffhanger”…which would be fine if the next episode really packed a punch, and if it didn’t take 3 months to be published. I hope this podcast gets its mojo back, because it used to be a favorite.

The almost universal 5 star reviews for this podcast feels bizarre and a little suspicious. The first episode dives immediately into a rabbit hole where two people endlessly debate/discuss certain clues and a character’s stories, when we’ve barely been introduced into this world and don’t have our footing. I lost interest almost immediately. Also commits the cardinal sin of any true crime podcast: a host who leaps at every chance to reference himself, his thoughts and his “career”.
