The Randi Rhodes Show - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I listen to so many political podcasts and Randi’s is absolutely one of the best. She knows US politics/government and who has voted for what legislation. She knows the history of this country and the history of the world’s relationship to this country. She reads all the papers every day, and she is better informed and smarter than many of the very well paid cable news show hosts. Do yourself a favor and listen to this brilliant woman.

Randi’s appeal has been her ability to be on top of her game with pertinent facts at her fingertips. Additionally, she explains those facts more concisely than anyone I’ve ever listened to over the air. However, of late she forgets what she’s told listeners on prior podcasts, claims only she knows certain information because everyone else has forgotten it, and often berates her producer - poor Brett :( - which makes her show impossible to listen to daily (or all the way thru), since I’m not down with her disparaging him the way she sometimes does.

Still, I’m giving her four stars. Even with these obvious flaws, she’s head and shoulders above her peers. Her knowledge base is deeper and broader than anyone in broadcast radio or TV. In these ways she is an absolute gem.

And while she’s now open to admitting her opinion(s) can be incorrect, I just wish Randi would handle some of her dissenting callers with more aplomb and give poor Brett a well-deserved break or two.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Randi! She’s been one of the best since the Air America days. She makes things very easy to understand and she doesn’t claim to know everything. I also like that she tells her liberal listeners when they are over the top…ie Palestine.

The one thing I find cringey is when Brett tries to make a point which is largely in line with hers, she gives awkward silence like she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s cringey and frankly kind of embarrassing she’s not listening to him. Feels like it happens once or twice a week.

Randi is a no holds barred truth teller. I absolutely love when she suggests to her listeners to look up the facts themselves and provides links. I have listened to her since 2000!
