Hands down this is my favorite classical music podcast. Found by accident and was super thrilled to learn that Terrance McKnight is the host! It makes opera and classical music very appealing and approachable. All the stars!

Each episode is a treasure box, filled with beauty and human connection-exploring the spectrum of emotions that music engenders in each of us. This present is wrapped up with an introduction by series creator Clemency Burton-Hill in the first season, and by the mellifluous Terrance McKnight in season 2. Explore a wealth of human experience-and possibility-from people of a rich variety of backgrounds. Can’t wait for Season 3!

I have learned so much about classical music and how to listen . The personal stories add to understanding and enjoyment and are often deeply moving . I have favorites I return to time and again . I have come to experience classical music emotionally and personally through the stories . Fascinating and beautiful .

What is truly wonderful about this podcast is that it reminds me, (us,?) and reinforces the appreciation of depth, empathy and harmony between us. For me, this podcast expands my exposure to different works and different perceptions of one’s that I already appreciate. A gift. Each time it reintroduces me to the miracle of creativity and the sense of forces greater and beyond us and our daily life. Over the top? Maybe, but to me what is brought to us here is transportation to a part of ourselves that much of our present day life does not cultivate.
