“The Messy Parts” is my new favorite podcast as it uniquely acknowledges & focuses on the unexpected challenges, blips and beautiful ‘oops’ that happen along every successful woman’s career. Hearing these real stories from women we admire is validating, inspiring and relatable. Each episode gives me a nugget or two to use and share with fellow female execs to help navigate life and work. Can’t wait for more - Keep them coming!

I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts, but The Messy Parts stands out in the most beautiful way. Hosted by the brilliant Maryam Banikarim, this show is an open invitation to step out of the highlight reel and into the real stories that shape who we become. Each episode is like sitting across from a friend who isn’t afraid to talk about the stuff we often keep hidden—career pivots, breakdowns before breakthroughs, starting over, and saying yes to something even when it’s scary.

As someone who deeply values vulnerability and connection, I found myself nodding, crying, and feeling seen episode after episode. The conversations are unfiltered yet elegant, honest yet hopeful—and they remind you that you’re not alone in the chaos of figuring things out. It’s the kind of podcast that helps you feel more human, more courageous, and more empowered to embrace your own messy parts.

Whether you’re at a crossroads in your career, navigating a personal transition, or just looking for proof that success doesn’t have to be linear, this is the podcast for you. Welcome to the Messy Party—trust me, you’ll want to stay awhile.

Every episode feels like a gentle reminder that the messy parts of life are where the magic really is.

Maryam Banikarim could build rapport with an ice sculpture. She’s built this podcast around people as committed to getting real as she is, and the result is a precious view into the messy parts of how anything great (and sometimes not-so-great) comes to be. Entertaining, instructive & entirely a breath of fresh air.
