This podcast gives this masterpiece of a film a thorough going over. Listeners are encouraged to build ideas out of every detail of the film and the host, Ryan, technical advisor, John, and his guests, help fill in all those gaps. A fascinating world-building exercise that is bringing admirers of Jaws together!

It takes titanic talent (and a good deal of nerve) to endeavor to add such a universe. The more I become acquainted with the world of Jaws and its fandom, the more I find passionate fans and a tight canon. Successfully adding to the story, while pleasing a particular and dedicated fan base, makes Ryan (with the help of John) an absolute legend. The Jaws Obsession is so engaging, so thought provoking, and so smart, that even formerly-disinterested Jaws fans are instantly hooked <fishing pun>. Ryan is in the unique position of having real life experience on the water, the ability to create a vision, and the technical savvy to educate. The JO is 10/10.

My favorite movie of all time has just become more interesting and meaningful by listening to these podcasts. Mr. Dacko has done a wonderful job breaking done the characters and scenes from the movie. He is a Jaws Columbo.
I truly appreciate all his passion, knowledge, and love for Jaws in each episode.
His quest for a Jaws prequel that Steven Spielberg originally wanted is amazing. The book of Quint would be a great addition to the original Jaws legacy. Let’s face it, all the Jaws movies after the original were disappointing.
If Universal Studios is listening, please make the book of Quint the prequel to Jaws. The fans deserve it!

Basically 3/4 of each episode is an infomercial for the podcaster’s prequel novel. There’s some pretty decent trivial and information regarding the movie of Jaws but even with that the podcaster keeps referencing his novel.
