My go-to podcast for BK trial updates. I love the honest conversations. Could be a bit more impartial but realistic on the situation.

This is such an impressive look at the crime and the players involved. Aside from the annoying attempt to tease you in the 2 minute podcasts that have 10 minutes of commercials, the facts are so compelling. And the longer episodes are crammed full of details. There is a great attempt to show the human aspects of this crime. The facts are explained with a nice sensitivity to the trauma that family on all sides of this murder went through, and will go through .

I am loving the clarity and clean breakdown of the case. Very few if any podcasts give this level of info and detail and still remain truthful. For those of you are still not understanding how marketing works, you have an option to fast-forward through the commercials -take it, if you are too cheap or unwilling or unable to buy into the actual program that removes all the ads.. none of you could do a better podcast, but all of you can be keyboard bullies on his sound? Petty.

I’m obsessed with this show. I can’t get enough of it. I love hearing them discuss the case and talk through things I would’ve never thought of.

Horrible listening experience with constant ads. Don’t waste your time. This is hands down the most annoying podcast I’ve ever listened to simply because of the constant ads.

I went into this podcast with high hopes, but the incessant interruptions for ads made it unbearable. Every few minutes, just as I was getting into the content, another ad would start, completely ruining the flow. It's frustrating and feels like the hosts care more about ad revenue than their listeners' experience. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one. There are plenty of other podcasts out there that respect their audience's time.

I liked the in-depth discussion and breakdown. Where they lost me is where they made the claim BK just had to try and fit in. That in college he would have found "his people" if he just tried. They theorized if BK could have just tried to be more normal, and less socially awkward, he could have had a group of misfit friends like Sheldon from Big Bang. He was getting his doctorate...so he possibly already had 6yrs of college to "find his people".
Dateline stated BK was diagnosed with ASD. His brain is wired differently-not good or bad-just differs from a neurotypical brain. We don't know if he received early interventional therapies or was diagnosed later in life. The hosts's statements demonstrated a huge lack of knowledge and empathy for neurodiverse people. To the point it discredited anything else they had opinions about. If BK did commit these crimes, he most likely has additional psychiatric diagnoses such as anti-social personality (ASPD), psychopathy and/or sociopathy. How these present in conjunction with ASD is an interesting thought. ASD is not linked to high diagnostic rates in murders. The later diagnoses are. So his social "awkwardness" could have been his ASD (his behavior at the pool party & his awkward hiking text). If he committed the crimes the lack of morals, violent fantasies, and disregard for human life is related to additional mental illness. I think it is too simple to say he was socially awkward and couldn't fit in, so he must be a murder. I would love to hear an in-depth discussion with a mental health expert weeding out what behaviors are related to ASD and what behaviors are found in ASPD. I worry that theories stating his social awkwardness (aka ASD symptoms) was an indication of his future crimes will lead to a collective fear-mongering towards neurodiverse people.
As an aside, one podcast stated he had dissociative episodes a a child and discussed additional health issues. I really think this case will prove to be a fascinating clinical case study.
