Mariana’s interviews are extremely well-conducted, giving space for the guests to share their stories.
I listened to this podcast based on a recommendation from a friend, without knowing what to expect. Her first guest, Fabian Alomar, isn’t someone who I had heard of or someone I would seek out on my own, but it was really interesting to hear his story.
Mariana and The Hidden Third team do a great job identifying voices you typically wouldn’t encounter. There are genuinely laugh out loud funny moments and some really deep insights.
I’m looking forward to more episodes and understanding more about how all of our lives are affected and connected, even when it’s not readily seen.

I don't know how she does it. Don't know where her courage comes from. Have no idea why these people agree to talk to her. All I know is they do, as Mariana brings us conversations with dark and dangerous people that are riveting, thrilling and unforgettable. The crazy part is, many of these criminals are actually likable people after Marias probed their psyches. You'd have a beer with them. (Maybe you'd wake up a few days later with only one kidney, but you'd have a beer with them.)
