This is one of the best horror mystery podcasts I’ve listened to for a while. It’s done through listening to recordings of the man as he travels throughout the lands studying a disease in all of its variants and how it affects not only the body and mind but the society it’s unraveling. Episodes wax and wane with it’s brutality but even when it’s not gory, the creepiness slowly crawls up to you. It kind of reminds me of a lovecraftian story if some of those things locked away escaped into the world. I really am looking forward to finding out more of what is happening. Pop in your ear buds, enjoy the fall night or early morning and go for a nice walk listening to this heretics rantings and notes.

Started this on a whim not expecting to be treated to exceptional creativity in the creator’s world building and subtle humor that inspires outbursts of mirth at inopportune times in what I thought was just going to be a novel thriller podcast. The voice acting is great, with subtle hints that truly flesh out the character. You won’t be wasting your time by taking a chance on this fantastic horrorcast.

I love the attention paid to the biology of it all, and how, despite the academic framing of the narrative, the characters’ emotions and reasonings are all communicated so well. The worldbuilding, where so much centers around biologics and diseases but with a strong religious influence, is also deeply fascinating. I couldn’t reccommend this enough!

I don’t know how I stumbled upon this podcast, but I’m very glad I did. I’ve never listened to a fiction podcast, but this one drew me in with the fantastic world building, the great writing and the excellent voice acting. I listened to the entire season over the past two days, and can’t wait to see what another season will bring. I’m going to support on Patreon to get the extra content. Highly recommended.
