Onley James and Shannon Ezzell serve up witty banter and pop culture references for days - all to maximum entertainment effect. And it’s so very fun. Fun for readers. Fun for writers. Fun for fans. Fun for the hosts. A good time is had by all. That alone would be reason enough to listen. It truly is chaotically good. But the best part is that Onley James has managed to be both relatable and authentic. There are dark parts; there are inappropriate jokes; there are tangents you follow along with a map. And at the heart of it is an author who is building fandom not just for gain - though, good on ya, girl - but because fandom fuels her as well. She isn’t just a marketing genius - she’s a feral fan herself paying it forward.

This is so fun! I love the dynamic between the aunt and niece, it adds to it. The conversations are great! They start with a specific topic, then tangents occur, then they get back on topic and my ADHD brain loves that!

I knew this podcast was going to be a lot of fun, but I had no idea it would be this funny! Also, I swear like I get paid for it so that’s always welcome. As a Hamilfan, I really hope my own fandom makes its appearance at some point. But ooooh I already enjoyed the Twilight and K-Pop Demon Hunters discussions so much. YES, y’all should do a watch along in the Discord server so we can have more Twilight reaction videos lol. And I prefer all queer romances over hetero for the same reasons y’all noted. Putting the release day on my calendar so I don’t miss future episodes!

I love The Feral Fandom podcast. Onley James & Shannon Ezzell look closely at the differences between having fans and having a fandom.
I am a proud member of the Onley James fandom. It's interesting to hear the thought process that went into creating her Necessary Evils book series.
If you've ever got caught up in a fandom, this podcast is for you.
