What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Really enjoy listening to this podcast as I am a fan of boots and heritage menswear. They cover many different topics mostly focusing on denim and boots (duh). Great interviews from fantastic individuals who have much to offer. The host dynamic is interesting and ends up working very well. Both host have expertise in their respective fields. Can’t wait for more episodes!

Cool guests, informative topics on men’s style. I think you guys are truly on to something and as a born and bred so cal native (inland empire) it’s super cool to hear Jake represent California properly when it comes to men’s style (agree to disagree on the men wearing shorts hot take) because most who are from here can’t. I’m rooting for you man, Almost Vintage Style is dope keep up the great work. Thomas, super cool, humble guy. Denimhunters is amazing and I’m grateful I found your site a few years ago. Most definitely learned a lot from you about denim and it’s much appreciated. Please keep this podcast going for as long as you possibly can, I’ll be listening. Infinite blessings, peace. AJ

In my opinion this podcast is an asset to the denim and heritage menswear community by keeping people up to date and informed without having to dig through forums or other media. Jake and Thomas are a great pairing because they bring different perspectives and preferences. Is it everything perfect? No, but that’s okay. The episodes and their overall dynamic improve weekly. They give great general and detailed information intermixed with interesting guests. Keep up the good work guys.

An enthusiast by definition is someone you don’t want to meet at a party. Weather it’s watches, sports cars or heritage menswear, these kinds of guys can be intolerable. Unless you share their interest...then you can’t get enough. That’s the case with Boots & Denim podcast. I can’t get enough of the details behind hand stitching buttonholes, Shinki & Horween or the history of the Munson last. Much of the info presented is subjective. What the hosts don’t do is present their preferences and opinions as gospel. Style is subjective and “best” can be defined differently by different people. The pod seems like a discussion about what they like, not necessarily that product X is better than product Y. It’s common in enthusiast circles for passion to come across as preachy, opinionated and long winded. That describes these guys perfectly...and not only do I love it, I wish the episodes were longer. Keep the content coming!
