The host of this pod confesses early on not to be a professional, only a concerned voice, but from some “professional” true crime pods I’ve seen, she’s as professional if not more, and certainly more sensitive.
Jaded true consumers like myself need frequent reminders of the real lives at the heart of such media and this podcast doe’s exactly that, painting a picture of a life interrupted and a young woman worth knowing beyond her mystery.
The tireless effort at the heart of the investigation comes through in every episode as the host urges people, urges us to care about the unknown, and not to accept the “missing missing”; everyone deserves a name and dignity.
A must-listen for both jaded and new true crime consumers.

Maxine comes at this case with a palpable earnestness to see questions answered and to help this young Jane Doe get her name back. It’s been a real treat listening to her journey and I’m sure this will have a hand in seeing this case solved.
This young woman is going places and I can’t wait to see what is next from this show.
