For those of us that love the dark humor and stories that comes with a great true crime, we need a refreshing and uplifting story every now and again. The Biographers is just that palate cleanser. With great research, humorous banter, and a little side tangent here and there, hosts Daniel and Akiva walk beautifully down uplifting tales of historical figures that you’ve likely never heard of and some that you thought you knew.

So I’m one of those people who loved true crime podcasts, but realized I knew WAY TOO MUCH about serial killers and people who do awful things. As I was looking for something new to listen to, I found this podcast. I recently visited Taos, NM and The Mabel Dodge Luhan House. I knew nothing about her, but was excited to see this podcast had done a deep dive on her. She is one fascinating person!! I ended up listening to the whole series and loving it. This is a great podcast that is well researched and I absolutely recommend listening!!

I am so glad I discovered this podcast. My favorite thing is that they don't just hit the top contour of the subject but they give a deeper look. It adds context and gives me a greater insight to the time that the subject lived. As a history lover & sometimes teacher, I am deeply enjoying it. The conversation isn't polished with a sprinkling of "like" and "dude" but it's not annoying but charming. Keep up the great work!

deeply researched, informative, funny at times and unflinching in tackling the fact that all of the subjects are imperfect individuals.
