This podcast is a breath of fresh air in a media landscape that seems determined to raise everyone’s anxiety level to a 10 out of 10. I appreciate that guests actually explain some of the background for why current myths are so rampant and have been accepted as truth and the distinction of why things that may be true in one realm can cause true harm when taken to the extreme. As an avid listener of all types of health podcasts (left, MAHA, right), I found this to be a fun and informative listen! There are science-based facts to help you filter the latest health trends and headlines. It could have a little more excitement and spice…I find the people podcasting on the left are a bit afraid to have too much fun lest they be seen as “not serious.” But if you listen to Alex Clark or Huberman (I do) then you should also enjoy listening to this as another avenue to broaden your perspectives outside the standard media bubble and to get a different take on the hottest trends. Ignore the 1-star reviewers, they are mostly angry or profane comments about her parents or politics…a very sad way to spend your time and words.

This podcast is so good. Chelsea is the kind of interviewer I love who asks the questions I have and doesn’t go on and on about herself and her life. She gives the topic and interviewee the stage.

It was because of the question posed by the title that I chose to listen to this podcast. The depth of inquiry and search for truth is excellent, and Chelsea asks great questions. I’m quite impressed by the quality of the podcast.

I love learning and listened to the Tylenol/vaccine one to start. Specifically for vaccines, the guest says something like, “There are studies with millions of kids that show vaccines don’t cause autism” and then literally doesn’t reference even one of these studies. No evidence…. At all. If you want to convince people, you have to actually present A SHRED of evidence. You saying that and then referencing not one study does nothing for people who want to actually know the truth.

I tuned in because I like the premise—I expected an intellectually honest look at different topics—but the episodes are lacking substance and credibility and are obviously biased. Each episode begins with a concept that seems unbelievable, something that seemingly can’t be true. Instead of starting to explore whether it is indeed true, Chelsea assumes it is and then ultimately faults Trump and/or Republicans for it. Additionally, her guests are not qualified to speak on the subjects. For example, in an episode condemning child marriage (marriage under age 18), her guest talked about how terrible her marriage was. She was married at age 19 and therefore her bad experience was not at all related to being a child in marriage. And in her episode on the efficacy of the measles vaccine, her guest was an employee of the FDA, but as a privacy lawyer, not a scientist. The podcast is not informative, just typical propaganda. Waste of time. And frustrating.
