Jermaine, The Tall Cop, has a clear passion for educating people on what they don’t know. I attended one of Jermaine’s in person classes and learned more in one session than I had in my now 18 years in law enforcement. If someone is trying to teach you something, and you don’t understand the language, run. Jermaine breaks it down to clear, concise content that is memorable. I randomly find myself sounding out the syllables to ti-a-nep-tine! And listen closely. His quick wit is unmatched!

I met Jermaine and his wife when he and I were keynote speakers for Safe and Sound Schools. I also work with school systems and universities and my focus is mental health and suicide prevention. You can’t talk about kids and mental health without having a discussion around substances since kids are using them to manage or numb difficult emotions.

While I am on drug task forces through the DOJ and DEA, it helps to have the everyman’s language that Jermaine offers and the specific boots-on-the-ground narrative not always covered in my meetings.

My own son lived with depression, became addicted to heroin and died by suicide in 2015. Addiction and substance misuse were definitely a big contributing factor to his death. Due to that, I now train and present to school nurses, teachers, SROs, and parents in school districts, and I have to have knowledge of what’s going on in terms of drug trends, social media scams and digital phone info for both k-12 and university audiences and this podcast is a great way to supplement that knowledge.

I can also offer it as a resource, too. Because these audiences are always looking for good resources.

I’ve been attending Jermaine’s training since 2017 and I ALWAYS learn something new. He us always thorough, well informed, knowledgeable, and conveys difficult subjects in any easy to listen and learn format. Worth every second of my time to listen and learn. Keep the episodes coming!

Without a doubt, he knows his stuff and is the preeminent expert on the topic of all things popular drug & drug trend related. He constantly keeps up with the latest trends and ensures the people he teaches are aware of them. I love that he's now taking his knowledge and offering it in bite-sized pieces in his podcast!
