I love the format of this interview/converastion-style podcast. The Talkhouse features recording artists slightly similar backgrounds (but with very different experiences) talking about songwriting, playing, recording, and anything that comes to mind. In each episode feel like you are hanging out with two massive talents just shooting the breeze, getting to know each other and becoming friends. What a fantastic idea for a show (and there’s companion Film & TV version too!) from author Michael Azerrad who has written several tremendous books on indie rock, including Come As You Are (Nirvana) and See a Little Light (Bob Mould). Yes.

I love the concept of the podcast & the 5 episodes I’ve listened to were great for the most part.
My only complaint is the super long intros. I don’t need the breakdown of topics or the guests bio. Maybe I’m in the minority but I mostly listen to the artist I’m familiar with. Can you please post some sort of time code marker so I can skip the intros? Or keep the intros to 1-2 minutes? They seem to ramble on & on & on & on...
thanks!

Fun, interesting podcast with a revolving door of artists. Because there are no hosts and therefore there’s no voice your getting used to, there’s no guarantee your going to be interested in every episode, but if your listening at work or putting it on without a bias towards the names you’ll find yourself being pleasantly surprised. I’ve found out about a few artists based on how interesting or honest their conversations have been with no prior knowledge of them and that’s always a sign of a good podcast to me. My one fault with this podcast is that I find myself having to skip the intros as I personally can’t stand the people essentially giving away all the main beats of the conversation. The conversation feels far less natural as I’m listening if I know all the main prices of subject matter... otherwise great listen.

As much as I like to hear critics' opinions about music, I truly enjoy listening to someone who plays music on a regular basis talking to someone who plays music on a regular basis. Certainly check out the podcast with Liam Wilson from the Dillinger Escape Plan and Kip Winger.
