I’m a 43 year old, Ivy Leaguer with 3 graduate degrees who know — nay, knew next to nothing about finances. My parents set up a Roth IRA for me. The moment I started working in high school, the money would go to meeting my annual Roth IRA contribution. That’s where my knowledge hits a wall. In my younger days, I enjoyed watching Suze. On weekends, I could always count on Joel Osteen or Suze Orman to be on the tube. I paid attention to Suze for being a smart, strong, successful, beautiful person who I found to be terribly funny. If only I hadn’t trained my brain to blackout when finances are discussed and learned something! When, at 42 years old, I realized I had me, myself, and I to take care of my financial future, I knew to whom I would turn. I searched Suze in podcasts and went to town in my favorite role: student. Since listening to Suze in a meaningful way, I’ve made/saved over $100,000 implementing what I learn on “Ask Suze Anything”. From ending a relationship with a financial advisor who charged a fee for investing in the S&P 500, tax harvesting, buying stocks that pay dividends, putting money in a high yield CD, treasuries, etc. Once you get inside Suze’s approach and believe in it, you will be unstoppable. One always has more to learn but, thanks to Suze, I felt confident enough in my understanding to step away from the podcast a bit. I never did though as I enjoy Suze and KT’s sweetheart banter. Suze stands as proof that the strongest of women are the softest where it matters most. Now I’m back in my childhood mode of listening to Suze for all the wrong reasons. Everything comes full circle. Thank you, Suze, KT and the team behind this wonderful podcast.

Suze shares knowledge that has influenced my decisions and made me much more financially secure. She shares information that I would not have even known to ask about.

Suze is the financial expert who can be a bit rough around the edges while KT brings the warmth and love into the equation to balance things out. Ying and yang. I realize the podcast is geared towards the older population but would enjoy future content that focuses on the newer generations - perhaps on future “Suze Sunday Schools”. I realize Alliant Credit Union is a sponsor and a great bank but would like to see less emphasis on them. Their interest rates pales in comparison to other financially secure great banks such as Discover, Ally, Marcus (Goldman Sachs).

Thank you both, Suze and KT, for sharing your sound financial, professional and personal advice on the Women and Money podcasts and CNBC/public television through the years. I started watching the Suze Orman Show back in 2003 and learned so much. Sharing your personal stories, being real with your audience and guests, and making us laugh at the same time, has been a true investment of my time well spent! Thank you for teaching us about the importance and relationship between personal worth and net worth.
