Man! I. Love. This. Show. I normally listen to The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and I love that show, but this is on another level. Gottlieb has a great personality, helps me dig deeper with certain topics, covers more content than Colin and he's hilarious! Give the show a listen. I promise you won't regret it, and you'll leave that much more informed, educated, and uplifted.

Doug is articulate, insightful, FAIR, and engaging. His knowledge on nearly any topic is deep and he’s bold enough to halt other rather strong personalities on false (echo chamber) narratives. He’s a breath of fresh air next to some of these other bandwagon sports talk shows. I love listening to him and his crew.

Just a great show. Doug definitely has strong opinions but they never feel like hot takes just designed to piss people off, always follows a logical flow even if I don’t agree with it. I think he also provides useful insight into more than just the action of games but the business side as well. I’ve heard people complain about the crew but Jason and Dan are almost like a good cop bad cop routine that really brings some energy to the show with Dan taking a more nuanced approach and Jason having the hotter takes usually. Also, in the bonus is great. When Doug gets on a good, uncensored rant, it is some of the most entertaining stuff I’ve heard.

One of my fav weekly podcast. I think it really hits home for people from SoCal. He’s got tons of old stories with people I remember growing up. Interviews are always fun as well.

I think Doug is a talented young broadcaster with good knowledge and a down to earth perspective. But when he filled in for Colin last week and claimed interviewing was one of his strengths I didn’t really agree. Doug asks good questions for the most part and can conduct a pretty good interview. But let the people you asked to interview talk!! Far too often, Doug will interject himself mid sentence to share his own opinion or a story that is fairly similar to what is interviewee is sharing. The purpose of an interview is to let the person you’re interviewing talk, maybe share some similar experiences after they have shared their’s, but mostly to listen to the other person and build off their answers. On a recent “All Ball” episode he interviewed a Penn State alum who played overseas much like Doug did. I think Doug shares more stories then the actual interviewee about his time playing in a foreign country.

Show is moving the wrong way.
Been listening for about 5 years and I’ve been happy with the content of the show.
But recently Doug is getting far too political. I enjoy listening to different takes regarding various sport topics, but the last thing I want to hear about is politics.
Doug comes off as a “know it all” in general, which is fine because he knows his stuff when it comes to sports! But the second he started to get political I lost interest immediately because he comes off as extremely arrogant, especially when talking about politics. The worst thing for sports commentary is to start in on politics. If I wanted to listen to the recent takes on politics, I’d tune in to CNN (where Doug would nicely fit) but that would be a waste of brain cells. Sorry Doug, but you just lost a long time fan.
