Staying Alive is a powerful testament to resilience, truth-telling, and the urgent need for change. The storytelling is raw and real, the production is excellent, and the voices featured are unforgettable. They’re funny and friendly. Whether it’s sharing deeply personal experiences or shedding light on systemic issues, this podcast doesn’t just inform—it moves you. I’ve come away from every episode more aware, more inspired, and more committed to action. Five stars isn’t enough.

Gabrus and Pally are two of the funniest people in the business. I don’t mean “funny for actors” or “funny for wellness podcasters.” These guys are legit hilarious and willing to say things that are provocative but not just for the sake of edginess — it’s just hilarious and honest, heartfelt stuff. I think the show format needs a little tweaking. Namely, Pally should just let his guest answer a question instead of answering it himself first or steering it back to himself. I shrug that off entirely so long as he and Gabrus keep aggressively mocking Theo Von, RFK Jr., and other right-winger/conspiracy theorist freaks. That makes it all worth it.

I love Gabrus and Pally, but I think Gabrus is very used to being the only interviewer, and the result is that both of them are constantly interjecting at the same time. A couple of the non-comedian guests even look bewildered and stressed in the clips posted on social media. Gentlemen, if you can work on taking turns or waiting for the guest to finish a sentence, I think this podcast will be gold.

I’ve been listening to the show less for any real wellness advice and more because I was so excited these two finally have a chat show, but there have been some really genuine conversations, especially around mental health (the Jillian Bell episode in particular), that provided some real insight amid the laughter. Thanks for always being your truest selves, and I look forward to hearing more!

The podcast feels like a job for the hosts, whereas most podcast hosts usually try to hide the fact that they’d rather be doing something else.
I think they’d be funnier if they were more interested in the topic. They pretend they’re interested in wellness but they really aren’t. At all. Which, again, would be fine if they were funnier.
