Terrific host: honest, no nonsense, clear. Jake consistently asks the questions that—when I’m watching other news programs—I’m yelling at the screen

I find it extremely refreshing to hear interviews with leading politicians which do not allow evasive pivots and dismissal of important questions. Holding politicians accountable is fundamental in good journalism. This podcast is especially effective in forcing politicians who dodge and ignore questions to respond.
Responsible and honest leaders do not need to ignore questions, pivot, or dismiss topics which they declare to be unimportant. In this age where truth and open discussion are less frequently offered by elected officials, we need more aggressive and hard hitting interviews such as this podcast provides.

Tapper interview with Mnuchin was sycophantic. Allowing Mnuchin to make claims about Middle income people getting a tax break without illuminating the fact that Nobel prize winning economists insist 83% of all tax breaks go to the uber wealthy, and workers in blue states will get the shaft. Not a word that bot a single hearing occurred. No testimony heard for a bill affecting 100% of the economy. This coverage is the REASON why we have just seen the biggest income shift from the working to the investor class in human history.
COMPLETE DISASTER FOR AMERICANS.

Great to hear answers from so many high level officials to numerous, tough questions. That said, interviewers sometimes come across as impatient/too aggressive. Please kill the loud, whooshing transition noise — really annoying.

I've been listening to the podcast for about two years now, and have to admit I do so as a way to remind myself why I trust NPR and BBC over CNN. The constant need for ratings has pushed the Sunday talk shows like State of the Union to talking about buzz subjects, and constantly book the same non-credible faces to give their opinions. A key example being John McCain, a man who has never seen a war he didn't like.
They spend more time discussing downed jets, the gaffs of politicians and elections 3+ years off than actually talking about issues of substance - the contents within the parties budgets, the actual rammifications of certain politicians and their policies, or even taking the time to debunk pundits on their falsehoods and outright lies.
If you're expecting solid news and political coverage - CNN shouldn't be your source anymore. They're just as partisan and ratings-driven as MSNBC and Fox.

I like Jake Tapper that he does an excellent job with the follow up questions and doing his homework on his guest. Diana bash just kind of seems to ask questions and allows them to make false statements without any follow up or correction.
