I started listening during the presidential campaign to try to understand what was going on and now post election Friday is my favorite day of the week because there is a new episode of Shrinking Trump. It feels like a family, it’s refreshing to know others are concerned about the same things as I. There is a good helping of understanding what’s going on in the government, support and ideas for dealing with our experience and some ideas on what to do next, and how to cope with the changes. I really love this podcast.

I would listen to you two shrink ANYTHING. 😁 I have listened to EVERY ONE of your podcasts and really appreciate the analysis from a psychological viewpoint (as well as the sometimes lighthearted banter). My mother had dementia so I recognize all the parallels you point out. I followed Duty to Warn on Twitter from the start too (and see you are back again) and was so hopeful that your message would get thru somehow to MAGAts.
I also love the skits and songs at the end each week: you outdid yourselves with the Pam Bondi/Mikey J exchange 😂 - very creative and spot on!

Especially after a really good show, the interview of Harry and finding out the stories and history of your friendship was so moving.
I wish I would have been either of your “ patients”early on in my life; I imagine I would be in a very different place. Thank you both for sharing so deeply with all of us. Your podcast is a true service ❤️

Your comments on hacking voting machines were cavalier, incorrect, and dangerous.
First, you suggested that a high school student could hack a voting machine in seconds because the software is simple. This is wrong on two accounts. 1) The primary defense of voting machines is the absence of a connection to the internet or other networks, and the absence of wireless connections. To get at a voting machine’s software, you have to get inside the machine, then overcome high level digital access protection. 2) The software is highly complex, primarily because of the high level security features. Even with physical access, you would need a copy of the software in advance to prepare your attack. That’s why physical access to the machines and updates is limited. From a practical standpoint, you would need to hack into the manufacturers computers and insert malware into the final update before an election, hoping each copy isn’t checked against an otherwise isolated reference copy immediately before distribution.
You also said that you wished there were paper ballots. Most states use paper ballots or VVPT, completed ballots that are printed in the machines, verified by the voter, and saved in the machine. Paper ballots are the norm.
Unwarranted public attacks on voting security are dangerous because they further erode confidence in elections.

I’m glad these doctors stepped forward to try to help our country recognize Donald Trump‘s psychological problems. I would give some parts of it 5 stars. However, I believe the podcast has come to include too much political news, punditry, and joking around with less and less sharing of their psychological expertise. This has made their podcast too long, and I find myself less inclined to listen to it since I already listen to several other podcasts that cover the political news and punditry angles.
I would like to see them focus on their ongoing assessment of Trump‘s psychological state in some detail, including discussion of specifically how his dementia might play out for our country.
There have been times that they have used their psychological expertise to discuss how people, including themselves, are coping with the stress that Trump’s presidency is putting so many of us through. I know I’m not alone in struggling with anger, depression, grieving loss, and fighting feelings of helplessness due to Trump and what he has unleashed. I would like to see every episode include discussion and advice that might help us all cope — that would be a truly valuable way of using their professional knowledge and experience.
I often feel there is too much joking around and laughing. A little is fine, but too much detracts. I also wish there would be less time spent on sketches and songs at the end. Maybe a short one every once in a while.
