This crew gives really great analysis on every topic they cover and as someone who loves a good 2-3+ hour podcast, they always deliver.

Come for the literature analysis, stay for what is surely the world’s first sport-souls-like podcast featuring tidbits and lore masterfully hidden throughout genres and works of literature detailing the exploits and adventures of the Dragon Lord. Not since I last played a Metal Gear Solid game have I listened to hours upon hours of dialogue and witty banter with the goal of figuring out how it could possibly relate to our protagonist and their travels, and not even Miyazaki has mastered this level of suspense and speculation about how the teeniest crumb could influence the next arc of the story and where it goes from here.
Now the latest episode introduced MichaelSquad, a poetry podcast within a podcast, which adds layers upon layers to this fine onion of an experience, and even more books and crannies in which to hide lore pieces to completely overlook. I can’t to see how cyberpunk influences Dragon Lord’s quest and how they will definitely end up getting a subdermal football pouch to help with the Big Game.

Reasons to listen to this show: In depth analysis of the literature that also breaks down the surrounding context and discussions about genre in a way that makes it understandable and enjoyable.
Reasons not to listen to this show: The voice Cameron puts on when doing the summaries is some kind of memetic brainworm that I have caught using in my own head throughout my life. I do not need my brain going ‘the grand curl’ in an extremely dramatic tone when I’m trying to style my hair. Help.
