life changing podcast prior and post pcos diagnosis - this podcast, specifically the episode with sofia richie grainge was what led me to finally get help and get diagnosed based on their discussion about inflammation. i suffered for so many years with many symptoms and the information and education on this podcast is truly life changing for young women suffering in silence. it finally allowed me to put the pieces together of what was wrong and encouraged and empowered me to get a consultation with an obgyn for pcos who sent me to get tested, which came back positive for pcos.

I would say listen with caution, except that on this show the advertorial approach buries or wholly excludes important information about the health topics they are supposed to be addressing, so much so that it’s not worth your time. For example, on the recent hair loss episode featuring a rep from Nutrafol, not once did they mention minoxidil, the gold standard treatment. I don’t even use minoxidil myself as the side-effects are not desirable for me, but as someone with hair loss if I were coming to the topic for the first time, this podcast would guide me to spending hundreds on a supplement that may or may not be efficacious, while not even mentioning a clinically-proven drug that is many times less expensive. It’s the kind of approach I’m used to seeing in beauty media, but the fact that it’s applied on a program that’s supposed to be addressing our health is so much more sinister. (And the fact that they dress it up by saying they support female-owned brands is just the cherry on top. If I’m lining someone’s pockets trying to find a cure for my maladies, I don’t care who they are, I’m still probably paying too much for something that might not even work!)
