I recently stumbled across this podcast and I am so, so grateful. The episodes are so well-edited & thoughtfully produced. I don’t listen to many podcasts because I find many of them too slow-paced with too many tangents and not even substance. (Some pepper like that, and that’s OK! It’s just not for me.)

The biggest thing I love about it: the experts are actual experts. They’re not just self-proclaimed experts; they are qualified, reputable, and authoritative. There are a lot of podcasts—and TikToks, IG accounts, et al—hosted by people whose certifications or degrees sound significant, but are ultimately meaningless. I’m sure some of them give fine advice…but there are very valid reasons we have accreditations. Most people wouldn’t take medical recommendations from a random stranger just because they’re wearing scrubs; meanwhile, they’re fine taking serious advice about psychological or sexual health from a random person on TikTok because their profile says “expert” or they have a masters/PhD in an unrelated field.

I love that Justin allows his guests to actually speak so they share their expert insights rather than talking over them. He’s a great host with a calming voice, and it’s always clear that he’s highly knowledgeable, preps a lot for each conversation, and is listening closely to guests.

All this is to say: This is an entertaining, responsible podcast that explores really fantastic, sometimes funny, and always fascinating topics. Keep doing what you’re doing!

This podcast is so informative and is hosted by an educator and researcher in the field. Guests are often experts and specialists helping to break the stigma and taboos around sex. Recommended listening!

Delivering accurate and relevant sexuality education would be enough but Lehmiller makes the conversations light and humorous. This keeps episodes engaging and memorable.

Hello Justin,

I started listening to your podcast because as a single middle aged woman I’ve realized how much I did NOT know surrounding sex. I’ve learned a lot, sometimes I feel I have to cover my ears (joking, kinda). You keep it on a professional level and don’t make assumptions about people that is what educating is about. That said I’d love to hear you discuss attraction such as why some women like the Dad bod and enjoy looking at the six pack abs and why some men don’t want the smoking hot women while others that’s all they want? Why sometimes men can have difficulty seeing the Mother of their children as a sexy and how women can bring back the spark. These discussions will lead to better long term relationships. Thank you!
