This podcast is wonderful for men as well! My wife is a physician and we chose to homeschool. It made more financial sense to have me homeschool and I love it. This podcast helps me to dive into the philosophy of parenting and homeschooling. It continually reminds me why we homeschool and encourages me that it’s the best for our family which I need on the hardest days!

This has been one of my go-to podcasts for several years. I appreciate their deep-dives into different theological topics, books and homeschooling. I may not agree with everything they discuss but I 100% appreciate their time and energy that goes into encouraging those of us who’ve been homeschooling for over 10 years to continue our own education alongside our growing children.

I love this podcast so much and find it so engaging, encouraging, and informative! I have found so much encouragement not only for our homeschool but for my own mother academia and mother culture. I have just been so very blessed by their conversations, sistership, classes and of course book recommendations!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for episode 152! I found myself cheering as you laid the philosophical groundwork for your opposition to government funding for homeschool! I’ve been hesitant and leery of these “following the student” education funding bills for a long time and was raised by “scrappy” homeschooling parents of the 1980’s, so your arguments were both familiar to me and refreshing, in the current climate of all things government-funded.

I’ve been listening to Schole Sisters for years and appreciate their book recommendations, homeschooling advice, and conversations regarding the family. However, ever since one of the members started attending Doug Wilson’s church in Moscow, Idaho, the podcast has taken a turn in content. They have on more CREC guests, discuss more CREC content, and tend to gravitate more toward Doug Wilson and his followers. This is concerning because Doug Wilson has been condemned by NAPARC churches as being a heretic, and preaching a false gospel. He gets people into the doors of his church with his familiolatry and homeschooling beliefs, and then keeps them in with abuse and heresy. Although I still appreciate some of what the Schole Sisters say in their podcast (and as they even mentioned in this latest podcast, we don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater), I’m finding it more and more concerning that they bring up Wilson’s beliefs and mindsets more often than not. I would caution anybody who listens to this podcast to be aware of that.

I homeschool my children and was really excited about this podcast- I listened to a few episodes and enjoyed them. It didn’t take long, though, for the hosts’ opinions about public school to come out- they stated that they couldn’t imagine someone reading a particular book and still sending their child to public school (or even private). This is such a close-minded, black and white view that doesn’t take into account the many nuances and needs of families and children and why a family might choose public school. It also shames parents for choosing schooling options for their kids other than homeschooling. Really bummed about this lens and won’t be listening anymore. It is getting harder to find homeschooling podcasts that genuinely supports all kinds of schooling, and not a “homeschooling is best for everyone” approach.
