If you’re not already listening to Room for Nuance, do yourself a favor and hit play on an episode—any episode. Sean is the kind of host who makes you feel like you’re just hanging out with an old friend who somehow knows everything about everything. He’s funny, he’s warm, and he has a gift for making even the most random topics ridiculously interesting. Also, his book recommendations? Impeccable. (My to-read list is both thankful and overwhelmed.)
One of my favorite parts of the show is Sean’s connection with whoever is behind the scenes. Occasionally, he’ll crack up at some inside joke you’ll never understand—but somehow, you’ll laugh anyway. It’s oddly comforting, like being the third wheel in the best way possible.
And while not every guest turns the show into a theological masterclass (though some definitely come close), Sean has a way of making every conversation feel worthwhile. You’ll almost always leave with something to ponder—or at the very least, a new way to think about something you hadn’t considered before. It’s the kind of podcast that sticks with you, in the best way.
