Okay, I absolutely love this podcast! Being a 40yr old woman from Atlanta (who left the city 10 years ago) and grew up on the music this podcast references, gives me a great sense of nostalgia. I am a secret music head that LOVES behind the scene info of what makes/made the industry tick. This is the only podcast that I’ll listen to that has super long episodes. Usually after 30 minutes, I’m done, but with this show, it can be however long and I’m here for all of it! So thank you for providing this content, truly.
My ONE request is that Ray not over talk the guests. Ray has a wealth of knowledge on the industry and I appreciate his encyclopedia-like mind that can quickly recall references to almost any situation mentioned. HOWEVER, when the guests are telling their version of the story, PLEASE stop interrupting them. It comes across as someone who is trying to prove they know what happened more than them. I know that’s not the intent, but that’s how it comes across. Ray has a unique perspective and input AND so do the guests. Adding additional commentary is fine - as that’s the natural flow of a conversation, but the over talking and interrupting can be a distraction.
As a top of mind example, he did it in the episodes with Jermaine Dupri and Jazze Pha. Many times JD fell back because he has a quieter personality but there were times when Jazze would just get louder so that he wouldn’t be interrupted and could complete his thought.
I mean this as NO shade at all, but as an honest review and observation. Please keep providing this amazing content, I’m a listener as long as you all are talking! Much love!

Ray daniels has always been grate at telling stories and giving industry insight so I’m happy he’s found a way to combine those two. While dropping knowledge, he has a very light comedic under stone that keeps things light but interesting. It keeps me up on all things relevant to our culture, while educating and informing me on things. The co-host ask perfect questions and allows him to share his point of view while still sprinkling in her POV. It’s a perfect balance of news, industry gems and celebrity gossip. I like where this is going and look forward to hearing more.
