Season 1 was good and had suspense. Season 2 was disjointed, boring and felt like a continuous ad for the first season and other PRA podcasts. Nothing really occurred in S2 until episode 9 then it all felt rushed and like an extension of S1.

Listen to S1 and skip S2 in my opinion. Probably won’t read the book after listening to S2.

I loved the first season!! The protagonist had motivation and the story was intriguing and captivating.

The second season did not have that same intrigue and the protagonist felt flat. I understood why Carly Parker was playing the game but not why Riley was, especially after The Magician told her to stop.

The second season did not answer any questions about the game. It also created more questions that it also did not answer. It gave me a very dissatisfying ending.

Characters don’t speak like real people. For example repeatedly asking “why” and “what do you mean” over and over, or referring to major events in their life as “since the last season of rabbits ended”. The poor dialogue writing really took me out of the story.

The production quality is great. The audio and sound effects are well done.

Where this podcast lacks is in the writing. It feels like it’s trying way too hard. Like Tanis, this podcast is overwritten. It seems like several new storylines are introduced every episode but go nowhere. I’ve listened to several episodes and am losing interest quickly because I don’t feel like the story advances at all. There’s no cohesion. It‘s like listening to someone ramble on about a series of unrelated topics and events. It’s a convoluted mess.

I like the concept of the story, but don’t feel like I am getting anywhere when I listen. The plot isn’t advancing at all and it’s simply frustrating.
