This podcast is good enough to get me to leave a review, which is saying something in my world. I am a recently graduated associate MFT, and I have learned so much from listening to this podcast. Kirk has so many stories and anecdotes to go along with his vast knowledge of this field, and his insights have proved invaluable for me in learning to be a better therapist. Not only is this podcast great for mental health professionals, but also for anyone interested in human psychology and why people act the way they do. After writing this review, I am going to become a paying patron as well, because I need to hear the rest of his recent Virginia Satir episode. Keep up the great work!

Eleven years of listening to Psychology in Seattle has expanded my understanding of other people and given me a more in depth understanding of mental health. I recommend the podcast to everyone.

I’ve been consuming Kirk’s podcast and YouTube content for the past two years, and it has honestly made me a more empathetic and self-aware person. I love the thought, research, and detail that goes into everything he does. His friends are great, too. I listen to Bob episodes as I fall asleep (he has such a soothing presence). You all make the world a better place!

I tried to get through 2 episodes with “Dr Kirk” and the speaking style is just so meandering and all over the place that it’s hard to tell where he is going or if he is indeed going anywhere. And sometimes he is speaking about things for which he has laid no basis for yet and it raises a ton of questions which never get answered. And a lot of “stuff like that” throwaway comments after having given one example. Interesting topics poorly presented.

I enjoy the show but it makes me sad that he supports Better Help. BH is extremely unethical- they sell client data, promote unethical practices, and treat their clinicians poorly. Please do better with your advertising! Your words have power!
