This is a great podcast for putting to test your listening comprehension in Italian. I actually listen to Davide’s more advanced podcast as well, but there’s plenty to learn even from this one, and even more so if you’re a beginner. I especially like the episodes where the host talks spontaneously about a given topic.

This is an excellent podcast if you actually want to learn Italian, should be much more popular! The audio is professional quality, and the story episodes often have music that he writes himself. There is often a woman reading female parts of the stories and her audio quality is also excellent. Many language learning podcasts are clearly done from someone’s room at home, this seems professionally produced in a studio.
His language learning theory mostly matches my own: listen to stuff you enjoy (like well written stories told in a clear podcast), read stuff you enjoy, and don’t worry about grammar a bunch- that will come naturally. I’m starting Italian while fluent in Spanish so it helps a lot, if you don’t have any Spanish this might be hard if you’re an absolute beginner.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast for enhancing my listening skills. Both Davide and Irene speak clearly, providing synonyms and explanations of some of the more challenging words. I appreciate all the text transcriptions they generously provide with vocab glossary.
FYI, La Storia di Italo is an excellent tool to help you built your vocab and improve pronunciation! I highly recommend ! Davide e Irene, grazie mille per tutti i vostri risorse.
