Love that you’re watching Survivor season 50, but I think some Survivor research is much needed. There are little mistakes that are understandable such as Coach’s first season wasn’t the one where he had his tribe praying. But, the biggest mistake was defining the new era. The new era starts with season 41 when production was able to start up with the pandemic. Jeff has a famous quote that’s like “drop the 4, keep the 1.” They had more time to think about season 41, so they made some more drastic changes. With quarantine time factored in, the game now is 26 days instead of 39. They always start now with 3 tribes, when before it was 2-4 tribes, as well as not giving tribes rice right off the bat. It was also the introduction of the shot in the dark, beware hidden immunity idols, journeys, and the sanctuary. It was a total shake up. Also, it was the first time a season wasn’t tilted either by location or theme, but just by its number. Also, you voted for Survivor 50 last spring during the airing of Survivor 48, because they filmed Survivor season 50 last June. So yeah, more research or some quick internet searches would really help to get a better view on what really this Season 50 means in the big picture. Like Colby going on a journey was historic.

I watch DWTS and Traitors, so this has been one of my favorite pods for a while. Chad Kultgen’s podcasts are some of my other favorites, so I absolutely loved and enjoyed the intersection this week. Looking forward to Survivor!
