Dr. Cocciola is a resounding voice for the children everywhere who are raised in families with coercive control. The lens of coercive
control as a seed for all abuse, including psychological, emotional, financial, sexual, physical is a Game Changer. Throughout these podcast, she creates an image of what it is like to be in a coercively controlled relationship, and how these relationships impact the mother and the children. When abuse is seen for what it is as a means to control, clarity is gained. The roadblocks that women and children experience in their quest for freedom is felt on a personal, institutional and political level. Dr. Cocciola describes these barriers so well. This is one of the best podcast I’ve listened to on coercive Control and abuse against women and children. It is a call for action and unification. We are failing our families if we are not taking measures to eradicate coercive control.

This is the most hopeful and informative podcast I have found on this topic and I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Cocchiola’s work. There are so many of us protective moms and it is so painful watching our children suffer; we are not alone and I have to believe change is coming within our family justice systems. Please share this podcast with your most trusted friends and loved ones who have not experienced coercive control in the family unit.
