This podcast really fills my need for social interaction without being held to speaking myself. I look forward to the end segment when the hosts speak their truths and leave comments on YT after I listen. Commenters have said they aren’t confrontational enough with the caller in question, but I don’t agree with that. The hosts hold a space of comfort for the callers to invite their honesty which always adds depth to the convo.

I have learned so much from this pod and a lot has stuck with me. Especially the hard hitting episodes, some of my favs were the 911 operator, bodyguard, mass shooting, man in jail, prison guard, the recent one about the lady with cancer. I love behind the scenes of people’s day to days that we always wonder but never get to hear. I haven’t found another pod like this one, it’s a keeper! Love both Joe and Greg and love the hot sauce

It would be better if the hosts weren’t so cringey. Too often, you can literally hear the judgement in their tone and reactions to their guests who are literally pouring their hearts out. It’s so uncomfortable to hear sometimes. Otherwise, it’s generally interesting! Could only be better if the guests were met with less critical commentary and more empathy and understanding.

I truly enjoy this podcast. I like how both of the hosts let the guests speak, and don’t come from a place of anger and judgement. I DEFINITELY don’t agree with some of the guests actions or the things they say but Greg and Joe make them feel really comfortable to talk openly and candidly.

I only listened to one episode and could not continue. I love The Basement Yard but at least when they do ads on that show, they finish the topic and then do the sponsors. Listening to somebody open up about something personal and difficult to them and then hearing them get cut off to talk about LIQUID IV!!!! is so insensitive. I understand that’s how most of the income is generated, but it’s a 30 minute episode and there’s 4 ads and they’re placed so poorly and in such a rude way. I am aware people on the show willingly come on but it just feels to me as if they don’t genuinely care and they’re just doing it for money.
