I am one of the callers that Ryan talked to and her advice took some practice and trial and error but in the end it was some solid advice. For a binge eater, to have the calmness around food and to feel like I can have whatever I want and not lose control is a relief. The idea of adding more protein and including those other foods as part of my meal and working with my desires versus against them. It has broken the cycle for the most part. I can’t say I’m 100% binge free but I can say the episodes are farther apart and less damaging. As long as I pull back and assess the situation and adjust, it gets better. Thank you Ryan for all your content. It helps.

Im learning so much about this disorder from you! My instincts have been not to restrict because it leads to worse outcomes with the binge eating cycle but that has never been validated . Thank you for validating what I already knew. Now to learn how mindset changes can lead to body image changes and then to actual body changes . This is mind blowing, fascinating and so validating. Thank you!
