You probably heard or read about Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira’s brutal murder in the Amazon three years ago.
This podcast is an unprecedented opportunity to learn more about these two men who committed their lives to saving the Amazon by supporting Indigenous peoples’ wisdom and heritage in the largest rain forest in the world. You’ll also learn about the legacy of resilience and resistance of Vale do Javari’s Indigenous communities throught the years. A great podcast, showing that investigative journalism, coupled with emotion and respect is one of the most touching forms of communication.

Moving and informative, both fact-based and emotional. I'm now reading Dom Phillips' book and becoming an Amazon advocate. We all need to get to work to protect the Amazon in order to save ourselves.

I felt like I was there with every experience. To feel the injustices was excruciatingly real. However, so much hope for good people.

I love the voice of Michael Safi. His podcast and black box mysterious series lifted me out of sad mood and possibly depression. I listen at work and I don’t want the work finish. 😊🤗

Mispronounces the subject of investigation at every mention, even after being corrected (in episode 2). This just really bothered me because the point of "ClothOff", as you yourselves illustrate, is to create images of people with *clothes off*. Nobody is clamoring for whatever "Cloth Off" is; "I would love to see what the dining table looks like with the 'Cloth off'." — said nobody ever, obviously. Enormous journalistic failure that persists even after someone associated with the nefarious application refers to it, correctly, as "ClotheOff" (in pronunciation, not spelling). I would like to see a correction issued for this entire episode, unless, of course, The Guardian and journalists behind Black Box do not care at all about accuracy or integrity in journalism!
