There are quite a few Beatles podcasts out there currently. Most are not worth your time. This podcast is light years ahead of the others. The hosts are intelligent and well spoken. As someone who has been listening to, reading about and thinking about the Beatles for close to 50 years I appreciate the research these guys do on the topics they cover. I’ve actually learned things I hadn’t known before. I highly recommend this show.

First generation American Beatles fan (yes, I saw them on Ed Sullivan) here who rediscovered the Beatles as I was approaching retirement. (The internet helped.)
Why listen to NIR? Because of the hosts’ warmth, good humor and laughter even as they disagree; their incredible thorough research; the variety of their subjects ranging from the music (mostly) to the Beatles’ houses, to Stu Sutcliffe, and to even more than I thought I would like to know about Allen Klein. The episodes on Brian Epstein—including his death—were (like most) informed and tasteful. But never stodgy.
NIR will tell you what you didn’t know and do it in a way that makes you want the next season to start soon.
Plus, from this side of the Atlantic, their accents are an added delight. Five stars. Easily.

This is one of the finest Beatle podcast anywhere.
While many musical podcasts feature bland hosts treading water in “what if” scenarios or top 10 lists , masters Carty & Cockcroft understand that a broadcast must keep moving - and this one flows with facts , humor and their own personal chemistry.
The Achilles heel of this show though is Cockcroft’s limp & continuous snobbery toward Paul - often in an attempt to overstate the value of George.
The glee that is present in the disrespect of such a beloved and impactful artist undermines this shows otherwise joyous offerings and is why I could only give 4 stars.

Dudes dive deeper than most on a beloved topic. So good! Highly recommend, if even just for the nice tones of their voices and appropriate reverence for their subject matter.
