For years I have listened to Myths and legends. Their stories and Jason’s puns and out looks on certain things always made my days a little brighter. A few years ago I went thru a hard time. I grew extremely depressed and started going to a dark place. Myths and legends always made my days that much brighter and gave me something to look forward too. You saved my life and I got help from one of your adds. The way you and your wife talked about what therapy did for you pushed me to go find a therapist and work thru these problems. Your story’s always make my days a little sunnier and you always fill my history/Legends craving. Thank you for helping me to grow in my knowledge, spirit, love, life, passions, and presence. Thank you again.

As a fellow Myths and legends enthusiast, and upstate New Yorker - I’ve been searching for the original versions of many of these legends. You have a perfect voice for podcasts and I love your sense of humor and sarcastic remarks while reading. I love stories and have been searching for the origin of such tales. I just started listening but I’m sure l I’ll be working my way through every episode fairly quickly! Thank you for the work you do!

I am one of their biggest fans. I have been a subscriber for a very long time, and I find these stories wonderful to fall asleep to. I know nearly every episode by heart, and it is something that has united my partner and I as a common interest! It is the first podcast I ever listened to and by far my all time favorite. I recommend it to everyone I know that even vaguely likes podcasts.

I also had an issue with billing, and it had been promptly fixed. The feed was not showing up no matter what measures I was taking. I eventually let the sub lapse and when I restarted the sub, it was there.

I absolutely love this show. I have been listening for years and I am a paid member. It’s just frustrating that it’s now not out as often as it was, as it advertises, even though you have other shows, I don’t feel your paid patrons should get less because of that. But I absolutely love it, and I look forward to all the new ones time and I’m never disappointed!!

This podcast is incredible, covering a wide range of topics from Journey to the West to Japanese folklore and the Odyssey. I’ve been a loyal listener since 2020 and recently upgraded to the subscribers edition in 2022. It was definitely worth it, although I’m not fully enjoying it right now because the subscribers edition episodes are missing, and the ads are currently present in the regular episodes.

Whether you’re looking for an entertaining podcast for a long car drive, to help you fall asleep, or to wake you up in the morning, this is the podcast for you. However, the type of episodes you choose to listen to will greatly influence your enjoyment. For instance, the Journey to the West (Monkey King episodes) are probably the most comedic of any episode type.

I recommend starting with episode 148A for the monkeys’ origin story. The audio quality is quite poor in the initial few episodes but improves significantly around episode 80.

I hope this review has positively impacted readers’ perspectives of the podcast and provided an opportunity to inform Jason that his member episodes are not working, even though it’s not his fault.
