I really love this podcast. I love hearing people open up in the surveys and learning from the guests. Paul is a great and relatable host. He does a good job of parsing through heavy subjects and does not shy away from listening when people come to him with new perspectives. It’s cool to see him grow over the episodes and it makes me feel like I can grow too.

Mental Illness Happy Hour. It’s hosted by a comedian (Paul Gilmartin) who interviews people struggling with various human maladies. His comedic bend brings out deep truths with levity and often laughter. I appreciate this podcast bc it doesn’t try to paint things with a silver lining. It’s just raw truth, but told in a way that’s getting in on the cosmic joke of it all.
He also shares anonymous stories people have shared on his website surveys that are absolutely touching.

Mental Illness Happy Hour is refreshing to say the least. Paul encourages a safe and supportive space to explore a wide range of experiences with humor and honesty.
I’ve learned a lot about myself and my own history, so I never miss sn ep and I subscribe to the Patreon for members-only content, totally worth it.
