Phenomenal listen, well researched, anybody who has ever heard about the Golden State killer but has never done a deep dive, this is a great podcast to start with, truly highlights everything in detail!

I don’t mind ads usually, but these are placed in the show so awkwardly. They cut off dialogue and when the ad is over, you can tell that you definitely missed something. It’s a little maddening, because I feel this is something that can be easily remedied. Fix it!

The only four boxes any true crime needs to tick - Great reporting, excellent editing, quality production, and a scary story. This podcast ticks all boxes.

One of the best podcast I’ve listen to in a while, they really get down to every single little grain when explaining the “Vansalia ransacker, The east area rapist, The Golden State Killer.” They really explain how everything goes on and all the crimes he has committed, and they explain how Bonnie felt during the trials. I don’t recommend this podcast to sensitive listeners who cry, get nauseous very easy, but every one else…. HAVE AT IT!!!!!!

Without a doubt the most egregious use of ads I’ve ever seen in a podcast. Literally mid-sentence, a victim is recounting their horror at the hands of a serial rapist and murderer, and they’ll interrupt with typical Wondery garbage. An absolute disgrace and an insult to the victims honestly.

There are some really good parts of this podcast. It is generally well written, and some of the interviews are compelling. However, the musical score is trite and annoying, as are the musical random interruptions by the LA Time sports Bureau ad. The biggest issue is the production value. Many of the interviews are conducted with bad microphones, so the sound quality suffers. The volume is significantly higher or lower depending on the speaker, making it very difficult to listen to this piece.
