I discovered this podcast while looking for something to supplement my son's 3 page lesson on Cincinnatus in his Famous Men of Rome history book. I then went back to the first episode and binge listened until I am now completely caught up. I thoroughly enjoyed every episode and recommend new listeners go back to Episode 1 and listen to them all. I know you give a disclaimer about the sound quality of the first episodes, but it is not that distracting, and the information is well worth listening to. I LOVE this podcast and look forward to new episodes.

I very much enjoy the show and look forward to the release of new episodes. The subject matter is well researched and the hosts have a great rapport, which makes sense as they are father and son. As the title suggests not every subject is well known, a fact which I have very much appreciated but at the same time there are some characters who are not lost by any definition given a lot of air time. Constantine, Magnus and Diocletian come to mind. That said if you find Roman history, interesting I highly recommend the show. Lost room and heroes has become part of my Jim and commute listening, especially when the actual news becomes too depressing and and somehow I find solace in wars of the past. A definite swipe right on this podcast.

I didn’t know what to expect but after listening to this podcast, I’m very impressed! It really puts things into perspective of what we think may be difficult times now which is nothing compared to back then and what they had to go through. Very good podcast and will definitely be listening 👏

My lack of knowledge of the Roman Empire is embarrassing so I’m really glad I discovered this podcast! I will admit I immediately jumped to the episode about Caesar but once I heard the father/son duo and their fun storytelling abilities I decided to go back and start at the beginning. Lots of interesting tidbits here that surprise me. I’m really impressed by the young Matteo (look out world!). It truly warms my heart that the two have this passion and dedication in common. What a special bond. Nerds rule! 🤓
