Just listened to the first episode of the Lost in Larrimah podcast. Blown away. The creators, Caroline Graham and Kylie Stevenson, perfectly capture the voice of this remote Australian town - it’s colourful characters, rich stories, and mysterious undercurrents of hostility and tension. Thoroughly engaging and personable, the first episode quickly draws you in as you want to find out more about the inhabitants of this peculiar town - and what happened to Paddy Moriarty.
I remember reading about this mystery through news articles at the time, and I’m so grateful to Kylie and Caro for enabling me to delve deeper into this story. They have a special talent in drawing out the stories of Larrimah’s residents - and bringing the listener along with them as we chat with the “suspects” in the bar of their pub, the intimacy of their livings rooms, or in the shade of their front verandahs.
One episode in, I can’t wait to explore this interesting place - and story - further. Up there with the most engaging of podcasts, such as Serial, if not better...

Lyrical and descriptive, this podcast transported me from my kitchen in Tennessee to the outback, to a tiny and endearing town, and to meet these amazing and interesting people. By the end, you’ll be in love with the town too!
