I’m so grateful that Native American guests are willing to share their stories; it confronts how even spirituality and the paranormal have been colonized in American culture. That said, theirs are some of the most frightening stories I’ve heard on a podcast, mostly told in soft, slow tones. Lodge Tales never fails to calm my dog down during a thunderstorm, but then I’m wide awake with the imagery. Excellent listening.

I’ve been listening to Strange Familiars, almost from Jump. I live in the same area as Tim, Alison & Chad. Especially the first year or so it really was strange familiars, for me.
I immediately followed your pod when I learned What & w/ who the premise was for the show.
No joke, this pod has blown my mind w/ the entirely beautiful & unique truths I glean from each episode. Ideas & theory for those of us who might otherwise never have had any sort of meaningful exposure to.
It’s been like getting a giant glass ice water on a very hot & thirsty day…except you don’t know your thirsty until the water hits your tongue. It’s like that…😊

I like the stories, but I love the respectful communication among the host and his guests. It helps me to slow down and cheer up.

Lodge Tales taps into our primitive being, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all life. It helped me to incorporate respect for all beings of energy into my daily way. To acknowledge the balance of nature and to be grateful for all it has to teach.
