It’s impressive Mike is able to keep things interesting 5 days a week (yes people, he takes a weekend; labor laws still apply to podcasters). His takes are solid and he shares insights into basketball without getting too deep into the d’a and o’s so it stays digestible for the casual fan. I like his balance of journalistic objectivity (fully rejecting collective pronouns) with a genuine appreciation for basketball, and even if the jokes can be corny at times he’s a new dad so let him cook. Hold onto your joy, y’all.

I listen to Locked on Blazers every morning as I do my barn chores. I recently switched from consuming news to focusing more on the Blazers and the NBA to maintain my sanity these days. I so appreciate Mike’s insights about the games, the players, the team dynamics, and what to look for in upcoming games. It has made watching the games a lot more interesting and fun. I couldn't wait to hear Mike’s thoughts on our amazing win over the Spurs but alas he must be taking a few days off for the holidays. Sigh… You know something is good when you miss it in the morning.

I have spent the last year+ listening to every single “Locked On” podcast for all 30 NBA team. Mike is arguably the best host of all 30 podcasts. Maybe he’s only top 3 depending on what kind of voice you like best. But he’s amazing. He is level headed, optimistic, fact focused, and excellent at what he does.
This job is incredibly hard to do and he handles it so well. I love listening to this show and tell everyone I know about it. Top tier.

I have been listening to this show for a long time now and Mike is great. He knows his stuff. Lays out his arguments in a very relatable and educating way for the listener. My issue is that the show is constantly trying to balance between being enlightening on the process of how things happen in the NBA and an opinion driven show. Opinions create conflict and there are a lot of sport reporters who do that. Lots of yelling usually occurs. It feels the show needs a co-host. Someone to balance Mike out. To challenge his thoughts on the process. Mike doesn’t want to lean one way or the other so give him someone who does and have Mike have to reel that view back in. The show needs some new spice and there just isn’t that many interviews with guests.
