Brett, you stepped right in and filled Ben’s shoes, now I don’t think the show would be the same if Ben came back. You and Jaime have great rapport and I enjoy when you add context for things you’re knowledgeable about (e.g., cars, trail shoes/boots, home improvement, etc.).
I also LOVE hearing about your work running your businesses, your involvement with the city and your family. You’re an extremely interesting person and in some ways even more interesting than Jaime.
Yes, the show is named after Jaime, BUT that doesn’t mean that’s all it can be. Everything evolves.
Car Talk was popular NOT because of the repair tips but because people LIKED the characters.
