The show’s host, Nicholas Allen, is taking the brave first step, asking the right questions to dig into some of the most sensitive and vulnerable content. He may be interviewing former Special Forces soldiers, but the takeaways from these robust discussions can apply to us all. I am motivated by the stories shared, the journeys these guys have gone on. I appreciate the length of the episodes, because it reflects the depth and breadth of the conversations. The focus on mental health, both during and after military service, I believe is especially important. Nicholas Allen and his guests are helping to raise awareness, and provide support and camaraderie around mental health struggles & suicide. It is refreshing to hear the level of honesty and authenticity that comes through in these discussions, some with people known to the host, former battle buddies, and others he is meeting for the first time. This is a safe space for these extraordinary humans to bond, relive shared experiences, and talk openly and honestly about the costs and rewards of being a Green Beret in the United States military. Highly recommended!
