Dan’s most recent interview of the Creators of His and Hers -Michael Smith and Jemele Hill, was by far the best interview I’ve ever heard. Dan’s ability to not only draw substance but you peel back the emotional layers of their relationship was extraordinary. To me, this is exactly the kind of meaningful content I search for in my sports entertainment. I wish him and the family nothing but the greatest success they have coming to them and I’m looking forward to years of fantastic interviews like this one

The Michael and Jewels episode was outstanding! And that’s even when comparing it to the episode they did on Jemele’s pod Unbothered. Dan nudged them enough and gave them space to unpack so much. Just wonderful!

It’s a sad day. I told myself I would save some content to enjoy on Saturday…And here we are. Sure, college football is cool, but have you ever listened to Lebatard as you take the dog for a walk in the morning? Thanks to this shop of pirate fools, I feel a need to tune in everyday for many reasons; sports talk is there, hot takes from Stugotz, Golden Cane, hockey specialist, nepotism hire, competent and charismatic with Kate and on and on. The show has really found it’s footing and the schedule reflects that. They have content and people (I won’t say talent. Ever.) that feel like the exact right people for this exact time in our history. We laugh together, we get mad together, we laugh at each other together. The shows start with engaging commentary or topically relevant stuff, quick to bring new listeners into the fold while gifting us long timers plenty of long running quirks, bits and just being themselves. This podcast/Meadowlark completes me. When will skip have to lay the hammer down and who will be the offender? Put it on the poll….

This is the BEST and most fun sport/comedy podcast out there. And the chemistry between the hostess is so good it feels like you are hanging out with your friends. This is a “MUST LISTEN”.
P.S. Don’t skip the commercials!

The platform has changed for the worse upon leaving ESPN. Producer Mike is more interested being critical of other shows instead of focusing on his own show. Poor content quality. Plus execution is terrible. Talk over each other, poor quality, lack of organized thought or meaningfully discussions.

Over the last year the show has declined in quality. There are no experts on the show so the sports takes have been poor at best. Funny at times but no real analysis which was great to have mixed in with the humor. Recent bits all fall short.
Ron Magill episodes are still reliable and the meadowlarkers episodes have been good quallity but other than that there have been more misses than hits.
