As a former Laura Ingalls Wilder homesite director, living history interpreter, and trained historian I cannot rave about this podcast enough! Sandra Hume takes listeners on really amazing paths through Laura Land via insightful interviews. This podcast helps break down the myths about Laura Ingalls Wilder and grounds her life and work in history while juxtaposing it against popular culture and memory. This podcast is also really delightful and fun to listen to because you meet some incredible folks who have a deep appreciation and love for Laura but also are not afraid to face historical truths and see LIW as a human being not a character in a book or on television. Keep up the amazing work.

This podcast asks all the follow-up questions I’ve wished I could ask of my favorite Laura Ingalls Wilder authors and researchers. Sandra Hume is such a personable and informed interviewer that she makes me feel like I’m in the room too. I’m so excited to hear from even more experts I didn’t know I needed to know!

I’m only on episode 4 and this podcast is beyond addictive for information about all things Laura. Presented in an accessible and enjoyable format, Sandra Hume’s podcast is fun and informative. You will get the skinny on all the LIW books with none of the TV show. I look forward to many more episodes!
